Love Is Blinds Arizona brings the showroom to your Tucson home. Free in-home consultations, custom-measured blinds, shades, and plantation shutters, and installation handled personally by owner Matt Diaz.
Tucson is its own kind of housing market. Desert ranch homes with wide west facing windows, newer master-planned builds in Oro Valley and Marana with tall great-room glass, and hillside homes tucked into the Catalina Foothills with dramatic mountain views all bring different light and heat challenges. A stock blind rarely solves any of them well.
Matt Diaz lives and works right here in Southern Arizona. He measures every window in person, helps you choose materials that suit your home's sun exposure, and installs everything himself, usually in a single visit.

Matt Diaz is the sole owner and operator of Love Is Blinds Arizona. There is no sales team and no subcontracted install crew. Matt handles every in-home consultation, every measurement, and every installation himself, from the first phone call to the final walkthrough.
That means the person who sits at your kitchen table with sample boards is the same person who shows up with a level and a drill on install day, and the same person you call if anything ever needs adjusting. Family, character, quality, and integrity are not just words on a page here, they are how Matt runs the business day to day.
Meet Matt DiazSouthern Arizona homes come in a few common styles, and each one calls for a slightly different approach to light and heat control.

Single-story ranch homes with long walls of west or south facing glass, common throughout central and midtown Tucson. Exterior solar screens and cellular shades take the edge off afternoon heat and glare.

Newer homes in communities around Oro Valley, Marana, Sahuarita, and Vail often feature tall great-room windows and multi-slide doors. Roller shades and motorized options handle the extra height and daily use.

Homes set into the hillsides of areas like the Catalina Foothills are built to showcase mountain views, which also means large expanses of unshaded glass. Plantation shutters and layered shades give you control without blocking the view.
Every product is custom-measured for your windows and professionally installed by Matt Diaz.

Explore →Tucson afternoons often land between 100 and 110 degrees. That kind of heat puts real, ongoing pressure on air conditioning, especially in rooms with west or south facing glass.
Exterior solar screens mounted on the outside of those windows can meaningfully cut the cooling load in those rooms, since they stop solar heat before it reaches the glass at all. Cellular, or honeycomb, shades work from the inside, trapping a layer of air against the window that slows heat transfer year round. With about 350 sunny days a year here, UV exposure is a constant too. Solar screens block close to 99 percent of UV at the screen, which helps protect flooring, furniture, and artwork from fading.
Low-angle light brings its own challenge. When the sun sits lower on the horizon, it can send sharp glare straight across a room in the late afternoon. Light-filtering shades and shutters give you a way to soften that glare without closing off the room completely.

A simple, no-pressure process from first call to finished install.
